About The Position

The ESL Teacher will pull small groups of students needing assistance to give them additional support in LA to ensure their Academic Success. Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited College or University
• Valid Texas teaching certificate
• ESL Certificate
• Knowledge of subjects assigned
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Flexible and patient

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of student teaching or approved internship

Responsibilities

• Provide additional student support through small groups for all grades
• Assist administrators and teachers with the planning and implementation of effective instructional interventions and tutorials.
• Monitor the progress of identified students following STAAR interventions.
• Monitor the academic progress of identified students following interventions based on CBA data.
• Communicate by maintaining on-going communication with administrators, and classroom teachers.
• Any other duties deemed necessary by the principal to further develop the education of the students as a whole.
