About The Position
The Exceptional Student Education Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning for students with disabilities. This role involves demonstrating knowledge of the eligibility process for special education, developing and implementing Individual Education Programs (IEPs) and Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), and collaborating with parents and general education teachers to maximize student achievement. The teacher will also maintain accurate paperwork, utilize data-driven behavior management strategies, and ensure compliance with district and federal regulations.
