About The Position
Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the goals, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and the like to communicate these objectives to students. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved. Strives to implement, by instruction and action, the District's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives. As a district, we have a variety of ESE positions that have varying qualifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must be eligible for Florida Department of Education Certification in appropriate subject area.
- Knowledge of subject content
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software skills
- Ability to plan and implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students
- Ability to devote additional hours beyond the workday for grading papers, preparation of lesson plans, etc.
- Ability to manage students
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
