About The Position

DYS Teachers can earn from $66,726 - $113,401 depending on education and experience (includes additional 20%25 supplement). The role involves small class sizes (6-8 students) with students typically between 16-18 years old. Comprehensive paid training will be provided to the selected candidate. Teachers benefit from intersession leave (40 days off per year; 186 student days) and additional personal and sick leave, with no study hall/lunch supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Baccalaureate degree or less (for Teacher 1)
Baccalaureate degree & 20 additional quarter hrs. but less than master’s degree (for Teacher 2)
Master’s degree (for Teacher 3)
Master’s degree & 30 hrs. of post-graduate study (for Teacher 4)
Successfully obtain Teacher Certificate or License prior to employment

Assess educational needs of youth: develop and implement lesson plans to address those needs to include individualized assignments and training
