About The Position
The Exceptional Student Education Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning for students with disabilities. This role involves demonstrating knowledge of the eligibility process and assisting with the initiation of the process to completion of the eligibility/IEP. The teacher will develop, implement, monitor, and regularly review the Individual Education Program (IEP) and Individual Learning Plan (ILP) of each student on their caseload. Collaboration with parents/guardians and general education teachers is essential to maximize student achievement according to established service delivery models. The teacher will also maintain accurate paperwork, adhere to district policies, and serve as a resource to general education teachers.
