About The Position

Responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continual improvement efforts of curriculum aligned to Colorado Academic Standards. Develops and delivers high-quality instructional resources, enhanced classroom practice, and scales effective programs to increase student achievement and to prepare all students for success in college, career, and life. Focuses heavily on delivery of high-quality instructional materials through the lens of resource development, curation, refinement, implementation and continual improvement.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required.
  • Have a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
  • Monitors, supervises, coordinates, and enforces rule of conduct and behavior of assigned students and reinforces positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy.
  • Observes, evaluates, reports, and records student performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
  • Prepares lesson plans and materials according to District approved curriculum guidelines or state and local requirements.
  • Presents subject matter to students, using various teaching methods and instructional materials to meet varying needs and learning styles.
  • Instructs students individually and in groups using various teaching methods (e.g., lectures, technology, discussions).
  • Establishes and communicates clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects.
  • Prepares, administers, assigns, and grades tests and assignments to evaluate student progress, reporting grades using District software.
  • Prepares student, attendance, and activity reports as required by administrators.
  • Communicates with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve student behavior and academic problems.
  • May participate in extra-duty activities such as coaching, tutoring, or summer programs, as outlined in the Teachers’ Collective Bargaining Agreement and in accordance with Department of Labor regulations.
