About The Position

The position of Teacher, Elementary (3rd Grade ELA) for the 2025-2026 school year involves providing an educational experience for primary grade students. The goal is to help students fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth and maturation. The teacher will be responsible for implementing the prescribed curriculum, which includes emergent and early literacy, and will need to understand child growth and development, particularly for the age group assigned. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Valid Florida teacher certification in the appropriate area.
• Must meet the No Child Left Behind Act regulations and requirements.
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of the prescribed curriculum including emergent and early literacy.
• Knowledge of child growth and development and characteristics of students in the assigned age group.
• Basic understanding of current technology and learning styles.
• Ability to use varied teaching methods.
• Ability to handle problems, concerns, and emotional distress with sensitivity and tact.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with students, parents, and others.
• Ability to plan, establish priorities, and implement activities for maximum effectiveness.
• Ability to assess levels of student achievement effectively, analyze test results, and prescribe actions for improvement.
• Ability to maintain appropriate student supervision for a safe and orderly learning environment.
• Ability to work effectively with peers, administrators, and others.
• Knowledge of Florida Educator Accomplished Practices and Teacher Competencies.
