About The Position

The Ironton-Lawrence County Community Action Organization (ILCAO) is a mission-driven agency dedicated to measurably improving the well-being of the community by providing opportunities for those in need. The organization offers services ranging from education and healthcare to economic development. The Early Head Start Center-Based Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating educational environment for infants and toddlers (ages 0–3). This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote social-emotional growth and support school readiness, adhering to Early Head Start Performance Standards and program goals. The teacher also manages overall classroom operations, including effective classroom management, accurate recordkeeping, and maintaining active supervision of children.

Requirements

Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, child development, or a related field
Experience working with children under the age of 5 years
Strong computer skills, including familiarity with data management and reporting systems
Ability to conduct home visits
Reliable transportation for occasional home visits
Valid driver's license for occasional home visits

Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred
