About The Position

As a Teacher Coach at Pathfinder’s Early Learning Center, you will support, mentor, and empower teaching staff to grow professionally while strengthening the quality of classroom experiences for children. Through coaching, collaboration, and evidence-based practices, you help ensure safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments that align with Early Head Start and Indiana Child Care Licensing standards. As a Teacher Coach at Pathfinder, You Will: Coaching, Mentorship & Professional Growth Provide individualized and group coaching to teaching staff using researched, evidence-based strategies Conduct regular classroom observations focused on curriculum implementation, teacher-child interactions, and professional growth goals Organize and facilitate peer, self, and intensive coaching schedules Support teachers in reaching their full potential through goal-setting and reflective practice Program Quality & Curriculum Support Serve as an internal resource for best practices in early childhood education Support classroom staff with behavior guidance, curriculum implementation, and developmentally appropriate practices Implement an intensive coaching cycle informed by observational and assessment data Training & Professional Development Train new hires and provide annual CPR, First Aid, and AED certification renewals Coordinate and schedule professional development opportunities in collaboration with education and disability specialists Maintain a minimum of 20 hours of annual training related to early childhood development Compliance, Safety & Documentation Maintain accurate coaching and observation data to support program improvement and compliance Complete monthly program-wide safety inspections Ensure alignment with Early Head Start Program Performance Standards and licensing requirements The Impact You’ll Make as a Teacher Coach: Elevate the quality of early learning experiences for children and families Empower educators through mentorship, training, and professional support Strengthen classroom environments through consistent, high-quality practices Support Pathfinder’s mission by fostering growth, safety, and excellence in early childhood services Pathfinder’s mission is to strengthen communities by enabling people with disabilities or economic challenges to achieve autonomy, inclusion, and stability.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to support people with disabilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule if needed.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
