About The Position

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher with an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher from an accredited institution.
• OR 48 semester hours including core courses with an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher from an accredited institution.
• OR passing scores on College Entrance Exams Testing Score Report.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in instruction and general supervision of students.
• Provide one-on-one assistance with academics and behavioral issues.
• Lead small group activities to support student learning.
• Monitor the safety and well-being of students at all times.
• Assist with the delivery of special services for students needing functional life skills.
• Help with daily living skills, including medical procedures under supervision.
• Incorporate fine motor skills, sensory stimulation, and self-help skills into classroom activities.
• Perform general housekeeping duties related to classroom equipment and materials.
