About The Position

We are looking for a driven Teacher Assistant to deliver engaging, standards-based instruction, utilize Responsive Classroom techniques, and monitor student progress while collaborating with colleagues to refine teaching practices. Requirements

High school/general equivalency diploma required
Strong communication skills
Exceptional organization and planning skills
A strong work ethic
Understanding of student behavior

Nice To Haves

Experience working with children/students is a plus
Training in verbal de-escalation is a plus
Experience working with students with special needs is a plus

Responsibilities

Play an integral role in the culture and safety of the school
Ensure a safe environment for students and staff
Model appropriate adult behaviors.
Perform assigned supervision of students during lunch periods, recess, field trips, dismissal, bussing, and all non-instructional times.
Ensure a safe space for all students
Collaborate with both general education and special education teachers
Work collaboratively with colleagues and families
