About The Position

We are looking for a driven Teacher Assistant to deliver engaging, standards-based instruction, utilize Responsive Classroom techniques, and monitor student progress while collaborating with colleagues to refine teaching practices. Requirements

  • High school/general equivalency diploma required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exceptional organization and planning skills
  • A strong work ethic
  • Understanding of student behavior

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children/students is a plus
  • Training in verbal de-escalation is a plus
  • Experience working with students with special needs is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Play an integral role in the culture and safety of the school
  • Ensure a safe environment for students and staff
  • Model appropriate adult behaviors.
  • Perform assigned supervision of students during lunch periods, recess, field trips, dismissal, bussing, and all non-instructional times.
  • Ensure a safe space for all students
  • Collaborate with both general education and special education teachers
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and families
