About The Position

Easterseals Florida is seeking a Substitute Teacher Assistant to join our team in our newest program, The School for Limitless Learning. This is an as-needed position to fill in during staff absence, staff vacations, and in times of high client census. The Substitute Teacher Assistant is dedicated to providing essential support in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. With its play-based curriculum and inclusive approach to education for children who are neurodiverse or have other related disabilities, our school represents a significant milestone in our community.

Requirements

• National Early Childhood Credential (CDA/NECC)
• Successful completion of the Florida Department of Children & Families 45-hour Child Care Training in early childhood education
• Current CPR and First Aid certification

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive, safe, stimulating, and inclusionary learning environment
• Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities
• Assist in recognizing, adapting teaching strategies, and addressing the individual needs of each child
• Collaborate with the lead educator to maintain open and effective communication with parents and families
