The Department of Medical Student Education has an exciting opportunity for a Part-time Teacher Assistant (Proctor) to work in Miami, Fl. The Teacher Assistant provides grading support for undergraduate classes; development of rubrics for formative and summative assessments; examination and measured assessment of student work; provide quantitative and qualitative feedback to students; data entry and statistical analysis of results. Helps Teachers with lesson preparation, including collecting materials and setting up equipment. Reviews lessons or lectures with students on a one-on-one basis or in small groups. Supervises students in class, between classes, and during examinations. Assists with tracking attendance, grading assignments, and calculating grades. Gives extra help to students who need special accommodations or are struggling with a concept. Assists students with special learning requirements, including disabilities or English as a second language students. Attends faculty meetings and parent conferences as needed. Collaborates with the Teacher to identify students’ issues and recommend solutions. Observes the state, school and class rules, and regulations. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and safeguards University assets.   • Monitors test rooms during the administration of examinations
  • Enforces time limits and compliance with other examination procedures
  • Explains and answers questions concerning examination procedures and related matters
  • Distributes examination materials to candidates as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others
  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
