About The Position

We seek experienced teacher assistants with DCF staff credential required by DCF (ages 1.5-6). The assistant will work with school team on caring for children and adhering to a Montessori educational program, etc. She will help prepare lessons, and follow the Lead teacher on curriculum and also help with all facility needs. The position can be full time, part time, annual (which includes summer program); but we seek a minimum of 20-30 hours. S/he will provide quality and child directed education to children within small teacher/child ratios. We will facilitate certifications and trainings based on the needs of the applicant. Teacher Assistant must be fully English proficient. We want someone innovative, creative that has computer skills, program skills, and CRICUIT knowledge a plus!

Requirements

• DCF staff certificate required to work with preschool aged children.
• Ability to work well with families and other team members.
• Montessori certification or ability to train and get certified immediately.
• Complete understanding and ability to implement all regulatory processes.
• Experience as a Montessori teacher assistant is a plus.

Responsibilities
