About The Position
TEACHER ASSISTANT: (Floats between multiple classrooms) Deadline to apply: Friday, January 16, 2026, at 4 PM Center: Stewart Head Start and Early Head Start Work Status: Full-Time M-F Hours vary between 7-3, 8-4, and 9-5 OACAC Head Start is seeking motivated team members for the position of Head Start Teacher Assistant . As an Assistant Teacher, you will create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that helps children reach their highest potential while partnering with parents and your co-teaching team to help make this happen. You will show exemplary responsive care, while demonstrating classroom management skills, lesson planning and developmentally appropriate practice. Requirements
- Minimum of HS Diploma/GED AND six (6) college credit hours or Preschool CDA.
- Experience working with preschool children.
- Willingness to obtain Early Childhood Development Specialization Certification from Ozarks Tech (paid for by employer).
- Copy of transcript required with application.
