About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant to support an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) classroom. This role supports young learners with diverse developmental and educational needs by assisting the lead teacher in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with diverse needs

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field (preferred)
• Experience working with young children; ECSE or special education experience preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom instruction and activities
• Support students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Provide one-on-one and small group assistance as needed
• Encourage positive behavior, social development, and engagement
• Prepare and organize instructional materials
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
• Communicate effectively with teachers and staff regarding student progress
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development
