Teacher Assistant - Early Head Start

Requirements
- High school diploma working towards Infant-Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) to be completed within two years of hire (required)
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds independently without assistance
- Ability to Commute: Flemington, NJ 08822 (Required)
Nice To Haves
- 2 or more years of direct experience in early childhood education and direct experience with at risk population (preferred)
- Head Start experience (preferred)
- The successful candidate will be: compassionate, organized, flexible, communicator, team-player
- Early childhood education: 2 years (Preferred)
- License/Certification: Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assist teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff
- Implement active supervision strategies
- Assist in lesson planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment for the classroom
- Implement screenings and assessments and data entry
