The Teacher for Career and Technical Instruction is responsible for providing instruction that assists students, teachers, and staff with a systematic approach to curriculum, assessment, instruction, and research-based best practices aimed at achieving sustained student success in career and technical pathways. This role involves collaboration with graduation coaches to enhance graduation rates and reduce dropout rates for students with disabilities. The teacher will also plan and implement professional development opportunities for special education staff, utilize assessment results to inform instructional strategies, and participate in IEP meetings to support students with disabilities. Additionally, the teacher will provide work-based learning experiences, coordinate technical assessments, maintain communication with parents, and utilize community resources to support transition objectives.
