About The Position

Teacher Aide – Preschool Location: Onsite, Multiple locations in Stamford, CT Job Type: Full-time; 35–40 hours weekly depending on location (schedules are typically early mornings to mid-afternoons). Length of Work Year: 51 weeks Salary Range: $17.50/hour (rates are based on education and total college credits specific to Early Childhood Education, as per union contract)

Supervise and engage young children. Support daily classroom routines and transitions. Help maintain a safe, healthy, and clean learning environment. Partner and communicate with families. Observe and document children’s interests and progress. Collaborate with co-teachers, support staff, and administrators.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Work towards a CDA credential or coursework in Early Childhood Education.
• Strong desire to work with young children and their families.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development in early childhood, such as internal CLC training and OEC courses.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Levels of experience will be a key factor in candidate selection.
• Basic computer literacy.
