About The Position

A Day in the Life of a Teacher Aide: Completes all job requirements as expressed by the classroom team. Actively engages with students on a consistent basis. Demonstrates consistent use of reflective listening and conflict resolution techniques. Promotes problem solving and positive social interactions in the classroom. Learns from related service professionals how to use specialized equipment/techniques where necessary and is responsible for the carryover of therapy programs into the classroom. Responsible for assuring the personal safety of children in all settings throughout the day including gym and outside. Recognizes and follows the chain of command by communicating concerns to the immediate supervisor. Maintains and supports positive working relationships with the program staff. Demonstrates flexibility in hours and classroom placement. Facilitates a close working relationship with families. Provides support and encouragement, as well as training/education as required. Participates in staff development and in-service training as required to maintain job status. Maintains confidentiality and respect for all students, their family members, and RCC co-workers. Maintains appropriate professional and personal boundaries including on social media. Performs other related duties as requested. Requirements

  • Experience with toddler and/or preschool education with some knowledge of children with special needs.
  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency- HSE
