About The Position
Position Summary: This role is responsible for planning curriculum, creating classroom schedules, and preparing lessons and instructional materials that meet the individual needs of students including those with IEPs, when applicable in alignment with state and school requirements. The position also supports students by assisting with special healthcare needs and helping them develop daily living and behavioral skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university
- Valid TN Teaching License, required.
- TN Teaching Permit is acceptable as long as you are pursuing your TN Teaching permit within three years of hired date.
Nice To Haves
- Special Education endorsement is preferred
- Preferred one to two years related experience and/or training.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements behavioral objectives by reviewing referral and assessment data.
- Establishes, monitors, and documents goals and objectives for individual student needs with assistance of treatment team.
- Administers standard classroom procedures by maintaining current school records and maintains confidentiality of all student records per program guidelines.
- Ensures line-of-sight supervision of assigned students, maintains structured environment to ensure student involvement as appropriate.
