The Teacher - Academic Intervention Lead (AIL) supports the strategic coordination of the school's intervention programming. The AIL will collaborate with administrators, teachers, guidance counselors, social workers, related service providers, and the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) district team (if applicable) in supporting effective instructional interventions and structural systems for students through the use of data, knowledge of students, and familiarity with resources and supports. The AIL will support teachers in making adjustments to instruction and implementing intervention decisions and practices through consultation with teachers, meetings with families, and engaging partners providing support. The AIL will teach while using partial release time to support teachers in their development. The AIL works to improve educational outcomes for students by working collaboratively on student performance with teachers, school counselors, social workers, and other student wellness support team colleagues. Candidates will demonstrate a proven track record of student success, leadership abilities, effectively implementing intervention strategies, and fostering collaborative relationships among stakeholders to drive student success. They will possess strong communication skills and the ability to adapt interventions based on ongoing assessment data, and feedback. These activities are in support of Baltimore City Public Schools' interests in teacher support, development, and retention in service of improved success for students.
