About The Position

The position is for a Teacher in the Child Day Care department at Charles T. Sitrin Health Care Center Inc. The role involves maintaining direct supervision and programming of children in the classroom, keeping daily attendance records, and providing communication to parents or guardians on a daily basis. The teacher will plan daily activity calendars and carry out those activities as outlined, maintain the classroom in a neat and orderly fashion to minimize safety hazards, assist in meal and snack preparation as assigned, and perform duties in accordance with the agency's policy and procedure manual. The teacher is also expected to attend continuing education and in-service training as directed by the Program Director, attend scheduled staff meetings, maintain weekly logs, monthly observations, and children's evaluations, and perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Associate degree in early childhood education, child development, or a child-related area or a Child Development Associate credential and two (2) years experience related to caring for children.
• High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years experience related to caring for children.

Responsibilities

• Maintain direct supervision and programming of children in classroom assignment.
• Keep daily attendance records.
• Provide communication to parents/guardians on a daily basis.

• Maintain classroom in a neat orderly fashion at all times, to minimize safety hazards to children.

• Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
• Maintain weekly logs, monthly observations and children's evaluations.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
