About The Position

Works under general direction and requires considerable knowledge of teacher education Provides instruction in graphic arts and individual assistance Assesses educational needs of inmate Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individual assignments and training Provides instruction and individual assistance Administers, scores, and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators Maintains discipline and/or security Counsels’ students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems. Attends meetings as required Prepares required records and re-ports (e.g., enrollment, grades, student progress) Inventories and orders supplies and materials needed Researches, selects, and recommends new teaching materials. Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must meet eligibility requirements for Teacher Certificate/License appropriate for career-tech - graphic arts & grade level as assigned
  • Teacher 1, 71471, must also have baccalaureate degree or less per OEA agreement
  • NOTE\: Applicant must successfully obtain Teacher Certificate or License prior to employment.
