About The Position
The position involves providing instruction in graphic arts to inmates, requiring considerable knowledge of teacher education. The instructor will assess the educational needs of the inmates and develop lesson plans that address those needs, including individual assignments and training. The role also includes administering, scoring, and interpreting examinations and proficiency indicators, maintaining discipline and security, and counseling students regarding their performance, behavior, and personal issues. Additionally, the instructor will prepare required records and reports, inventory and order necessary supplies and materials, and research and recommend new teaching materials. Participation in in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development is also expected, along with performing other duties as assigned.
