Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree
• Adult Educator four year permit and/or are eligible to receive a four-year permit from the Ohio Department of Education
• Any current Teacher Certificate appropriate grade level to be assigned
• Teacher 1, 71721, must also have baccalaureate degree or less
• Job Skills: Education, Developing Others, Emotional Intelligence, Cultural Awareness, Customer Focus

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individualized training for assignments
• Provides necessary instruction for Adult Basic Education/General Education Development program
• Administers necessary tests
• Evaluate inmates provides necessary direction for inmates
• Maintains discipline and/or security of instructional area
• Attends education meetings, unit staff meetings and in-service training
• Prepares required records and reports
• Maintains inventory and orders supplies and materials needed
• Performs other education and/or related duties as requested by education administrators
• Performs other duties as required on assignment
