About The Position

The Scheduler for Biosecurity Enforcement/Road Stations at the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) is responsible for conducting advanced investigative work related to the transportation of commodities within Texas. This role involves scheduling and coordinating inspections to prevent the introduction of pests, managing personnel assignments, and ensuring effective communication with various stakeholders. The position requires a high level of initiative and independent judgment, as well as the ability to oversee complex investigations and provide strategic direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Three years of experience conducting inspections or investigations for TDA.
• Proficiency in recognizing quarantine zones and invasive pests.
• Experience in project management or related areas.
• Valid Texas driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct special investigations and inspections related to biosecurity enforcement.
• Schedule and assign personnel for investigations and communicate schedules to the ACP division.
• Coordinate inter-agency initiatives to align biosecurity and road station priorities.
• Keep TDA management informed of concerns and conflicts.
• Facilitate meetings and resource activities related to investigations.
• Serve as a liaison with stakeholders and governmental agencies.
• Schedule law enforcement agencies for biosecurity activities.
• Maintain cleanliness of office and mobile units.
• Communicate with TxDOT on biosecurity issues.
