About The Position

The Training & Development Specialist IV (Program Education) at the Texas Department of Agriculture is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs related to food and nutrition. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum three years of experience in training program development.
• Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and ADDIE instructional design method.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Adobe.
• Valid Texas driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in operating or teaching federal nutrition programs.
• Knowledge of federal nutrition programs administered by TDA.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, and update instructor-led and eLearning training materials.
• Schedule and conduct synchronous and asynchronous training for internal and external customers.
• Serve as a trainer and facilitator for conferences, workshops, and webinars.
• Create training materials using various techniques such as eLearning, simulations, and group discussions.
• Conduct onboarding and job-shadowing activities to identify training gaps.
• Keep abreast of best practices in adult learning and instructional design principles.
• Review training requests and materials for relevance to F&N goals.
• Compile and analyze training-related data to evaluate effectiveness.
