Are you with us?!? We are looking for a Technical Customer Service (TCS) Engineer at our Madisonville, KY facility.

Responsibilities

  • Offer technical product application support, to influence and assist customers in marking their purchasing decisions; provide technical training as required.
  • Develop understanding of customer's production process and identify challenges and problems in the process in order to solve customer's problems.
  • Analyze product requirements, recommend solutions, and present features and benefits.
  • Help manage customer complaints/claims from analysis of root causes to identification of corrective action plans and communication to customer.
  • Build a network within the customers' organization to enable access to information about the process and performance of our products.
  • Represent the customer's technical requirements to supply chain and product development.
  • Ensure successful customer introduction of products in their processes by attending, contributing and documenting the results of customer trials.
  • Meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of media.
  • Perform additional duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with three years' experience.
  • Experience in the Pulp/Paper Industry, preferred.
  • Project coordination experience preferred.
  • Understand and follow Ahlstrom's policies and procedures.
  • Exercise a high degree of independent judgment and self-motivation while fostering a team atmosphere.
  • Chemical/mechanical/mathematical aptitude.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills.
  • Sound communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Interpersonal skills, strategic planning and influencing skills, problem solving, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Requires the ability to use multiple computer programs/systems including MS Office Suite.
