About The Position

The Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) Specialist provides individualized support and interventions to clients receiving TBS, as outlined in their treatment plans. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including families, therapists, and school personnel, to implement strength-based interventions aimed at achieving behavioral goals. The Specialist is expected to work both independently and as part of a treatment team, demonstrating effective time management, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in behavioral sciences with one year of full-time equivalent experience working with children and adolescents in relevant settings.
• BA degree in a non-related field with two years of experience in relevant settings.
• No BA degree with four years of experience in relevant settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current valid California driver's license and automobile insurance required.
• Clean driving record acceptable to the organization's insurance company.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in telehealth service delivery.
• Ability to work flexible schedules after the introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support and interventions to clients receiving TBS.
• Collaborate with birth families, foster families, and other stakeholders to support positive interventions.
• Work as part of a treatment team including clinical supervisors, therapists, and school personnel.
• Utilize a strength-based approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
• Articulate the rationale for interventions to parents and professionals.
• Recognize and highlight successes throughout the treatment process.
• Demonstrate patience and tenacity in overcoming challenges.
