About The Position

This is a full-time position, responsible for the finish production of taxidermy work in the Finish Department. Benefits Matching 401(k) program and a complimentary financial advisor available. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Artistic Skills
• Drawing
• Painting
• Attention to Detail

Nice To Haves

• 1or more years of taxidermy type experience

Responsibilities

• Use photographs and other reference material necessary to achieve accuracy in finish product
• Groom mounts and remove any dust or dirt
• Clean antlers/horns and remove any bondo, blood, dirt, or other foreign matter
• Repair shrinkage with epoxy sculpt around eyes, mouth, nose, and antlers/horns
• Paint all required areas with natural colors – maintain and follow consistent paint schedules and techniques for each species of animal
• Gloss or matte finish on appropriate areas of the nose, mouth, eyes, and other painted areas
• Final inspection for imperfections related to, but not limited to, paint on the eyes, in the hair, on the horns, or any other problem areas
• Finished mounts are inspected by Department Manager
• Performs other related duties assigned by supervisors or managers
