About The Position

This is a 12-week paid internship working a minimum of 3 days per week from our San Jose, CA office. The internship will start in May 2026. An internship at Nutanix allows you to build on your studies and expand your professional skills, working alongside an encouraging and innovative Tax & Treasury team. Strengthen your skills beyond the classroom through hands-on, impactful projects as you learn, grow, and explore with training and mentoring from our team of experts. This role is a rotational internship position with the first half of the internship starting with the Treasury Manager and then the second half rotating to our Tax Manager. The Treasury & Tax teams at Nutanix operate in a hybrid work setup, offering flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa status, such as F1, H1B, or TN.
  • You are pursuing a Bachelor's in Finance , Accounting or a related field
  • Highly self-motivated and willing to take personal ownership of all project tasks and deliverables
  • Detail-oriented and displays a high level of curiosity
  • Creative, self-starter, quick thinker and dedicated individual who is eager to put his/her stamp on this job role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of automation tools like Alteryx and VBA
  • Working knowledge of dashboarding tools like PowerBI and Tableau

Responsibilities

  • Support daily and monthly reporting/reconciliation of Nutanix's cash balances
  • Support creation of monthly interest income forecasts and bank/investment fee analyses
  • Help reconcile Nutanix's investment portfolio on a monthly basis
  • Work with the team to manage Treasury's purchase orders
  • Assist the team with various automation initiatives, including cash/interest income forecasting, bank statement reporting, etc.
  • Assist the team with various account openings and validation of banking signatories
  • Help the team document Treasury processes/procedures and respond to ad-hoc requests
  • Assist in preparing federal and state corporate income tax estimates
  • Support quarterly and annual tax provision calculations (ASC 740)
  • Help gather and organize financial data for tax filings
  • Conduct research on corporate tax issues and legislative changes
  • Assist in reviewing and responding to state tax notices
