About The Position

The position involves assisting with the management of US and Canadian corporate income tax compliance for all Spinrite companies. This includes coordinating tax return preparation with outside tax service providers, preparing income tax provisions, and monitoring and executing tax installment payments. Additionally, the role encompasses managing sales and use tax compliance, utilizing Avalara for tax return preparation, executing payments, and supporting tax audits. The candidate will also take the lead on special tax compliance-related projects as assigned, manage day-to-day cash flow, perform analysis to support a foreign exchange currency hedging program, and conduct daily bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records. Month-end close activities related to bank reconciliations and other duties will also be part of the responsibilities. Furthermore, the role includes managing insurance requests and maintaining company insurance policies, coordinating data for annual insurance renewal, reviewing results, and preparing summary reports. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in an accounting, tax, or finance role.
  • Previous exposure to corporate income tax and/or sales and use tax compliance.
  • Working knowledge of Tax regulations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in developing Excel models.
  • Software experience with ERP and BI systems is an asset.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Critical attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

  • Manage insurance requests and maintain company insurance policies, including coordinating data for annual insurance renewal and preparing summary reports.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
