Your work will include, but not be limited to: * Serve as a technical tax resource for State and Local Taxes on M&A transactions, including tax structuring and tax due diligence (Tax Transaction Advisory Services) services. * Deliver state and local compliance services and value-added consulting solutions to our clients through work on multi-state income tax, franchise tax, sales and use tax, gross receipts tax, and property tax matters. * Technical application on a variety of buy and sell side transactions, including the State and Local tax implications of tax structuring projects, tax modeling of after-tax proceeds, review of transactions, and tax due diligence. * Assist with the implementation of tax planning opportunities in the SALT area identified during diligence and manage any findings identified. * Provide coaching and mentoring to staff in the advancement of their individual skills and competencies. * Develop and execute a practice development plan including networking, new client development, and client expansion activities.

  • 5+ years recent tax experience in public accounting with a specialization in SALT tax.
  • Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • CPA or Bar License required.
  • Proficiency in tax planning and reporting issues relevant for corporate consolidated returns, S corporation returns, partnership returns, and state tax returns.
  • Experience advising clients on the tax implications of various transactions.
  • Experience supervising staff on engagements and managing client relationships.
  • Approximately 25% overnight travel is required.
