About The Position
The Tax Technology Intern will be an integral part of the CEI Tax Department, which consists of over 50 professionals. This role involves close collaboration with both the Tax and Technology teams to support and enhance tax processes through innovative technology solutions. The intern will have the unique opportunity to work alongside experienced tax professionals, gaining valuable hands-on experience in tax technology within a leading corporate tax department. This position is designed for students who are eager to learn and contribute to the department's technology initiatives while developing their skills in a real-world environment. In this role, the intern will assist in the implementation and maintenance of various tax technology solutions. This includes collaborating with the tax team to document business requirements for tax technology projects, participating in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support tax initiatives, and building data automations and visualizations using Microsoft Power Query and Power BI. The intern will also support and maintain SharePoint sites and libraries, participate in the optimization and improvement of existing SQL scripts and queries, and assist in preparing process documentation and user guides for tax technology tools. Additionally, the intern will collaborate with team members on various ad hoc tax technology projects, providing a comprehensive learning experience in the field of tax technology.
