Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Tax, our Tax Specialist will play a key role in preparing income tax returns, supporting the global tax provision, and driving innovation as we transform our tax department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical financial reporting processes, partner with cross-functional teams, and help shape the future of tax at our organization. Effective from the date that Hasbro opens its new Boston location, this position will be onsite Tuesday – Thursday at Hasbro’s new HQ location in Boston, MA. In the interim, this position will be onsite Tuesday –Thursday at Hasbro’s HQ in Pawtucket, RI or at Hasbro’s temporary location in Boston, MA.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience working in a multinational company or public accounting firm.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and contribute efficiently and optimally in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SAP, Longview, Alteryx, OneSource & CorpTax are helpful.
  • MST or CPA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare various calculations required for the worldwide income tax provision.
  • Assist with federal, state, and international tax compliance.
  • Prepare extension and quarterly estimate calculations and payments.
  • Provide critical information for sales and use tax filings to external consultants to ensure timely filing.
  • Assist with tax-related technology and process improvement projects.
  • Compile state and local apportionment data for income tax filings and quarterly projections.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
  • Assist with state tax audits and draft correspondence to various state and tax authorities to resolve tax issues.
