EisnerAmper is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join the Private Client Services (PCS) practice. We are looking for a dynamic individual with the capacity to efficiently oversee multiple client engagements while also demonstrating proficiency in business development, marketing, and recruitment efforts. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the aptitude to foster professional growth within our staff. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required
  • 8+ years of progressive tax experience, including compliance and consulting for closely held businesses and their owners
  • Significant recent experience in Public Accounting
  • Active CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Taxation or relevant field
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire and expand client relationships and grow a book of business
  • Experience using GoSystems or CCH Axcess tax software

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of tax professionals, providing technical guidance, feedback, and growth opportunities while collaborating with Partners to deliver outstanding client service and innovative tax solutions
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance functions for closely held businesses (S-corporations, partnerships, and corporations) and their owners, including high-net-worth individuals, families, and family offices
  • Directly engage with business owners, executives, and family decision-makers to deliver integrated PCS solutions, including individual and entity-level tax considerations
  • Review complex tax returns for entities and related individuals, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with tax laws and regulations
  • Interpret and analyze financial data to engage clients in meaningful conversations about their operations, liquidity, cash flow planning, and overhead costs.
  • Identify necessary book-to-tax adjustments and assist with complex accounting matters, such as recording sale or purchase transactions. Know when to involve GAAP specialists for technical support.
  • Develop a working understanding of financial concepts like income normalization and EBITDA to effectively communicate with clients considering a business sale.
  • Mentor staff and seniors on accounting adjustments and related technical topics.
  • Collaborate with partners to build and expand client relationships, actively contributing to business development, networking, and the cultivation of new client opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by proactively identifying tax-saving opportunities and addressing emerging client needs
  • Manage engagement economics, including budgets, timelines, billing, and profitability.
  • Provide ongoing training, supervision, and mentorship to associates, seniors, and managers, holding self and direct reports accountable for professional growth and performance
  • Stay current on changes in federal and state tax laws affecting closely held entities and high-net-worth clients, and apply insights to client engagements
  • Collaborate with colleagues across service lines (estate planning, audit, advisory) to deliver coordinated client service
  • Occasionally travel locally to client locations as needed
