About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Tax Senior to join our growing Financial Services Tax Group. This role is ideal for a professional who has a passion for delivering exceptional client service to financial services clients, including hedge funds, private equity firms, broker-dealers, and investment partnerships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 2+ years of public accounting experience, preferably with a focus on financial services clients.
• Solid understanding of partnership taxation and investment fund structures.
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., GoSystem, CCH Axcess, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals in the financial services industry.
• Assist in tax planning and consulting for investment partnerships, including carried interest calculations, management fee analysis, and income allocations.
• Support clients with tax structuring, compliance, and reporting matters related to financial products and alternative investments.
• Perform tax research and prepare technical memoranda on complex tax issues including partnership allocations, foreign reporting, and withholding tax matters.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff and interns; review their work and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with managers and partners to deliver high-quality client service.
• Maintain and grow strong relationships with clients through regular communication and prompt resolution of tax matters.
• Stay current on emerging tax legislation and its potential impact on clients.
