This role is located at corporate headquarters in Irvine, CA and allows for 2 days remote per week. Tax Senior Associate will join the US Indirect Tax function, reporting to the Indirect Tax Director and working closely with the Tax Manager. This position will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns in compliance with established deadlines. Additionally, this position will play a supporting role in managing tax audits and research matters related to US indirect taxes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in large corporate finance environment including a minimum of 3 years indirect tax specific experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional preferred.
  • Ability to consistently meet monthly business deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn and willingness to ask questions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with established deadlines.
  • Manage tax audits and research matters related to US indirect taxes.
  • Compile sales reports in preparation of the sales/use tax filings.
  • Review sales journals monthly for discrepancies and adjust accordingly.
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales/use tax filings.
  • Handle the payment process for sales/use tax, property tax, business license and other indirect tax filings.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries.
  • Prepare responses to government-issued tax notices and interface with state and local tax agencies.
  • Liaison with Procurement, Business Unit staff, IT, Legal, etc.
  • Prepare business licenses renewals and other various indirect tax related filings.
  • Work with vendors and internal purchasing teams on sales use tax matters.
  • Research state and local tax issues related to compliance, special projects, audits, protests, etc.
