This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and accounting within the organization. They play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with tax laws and regulations, and implementing strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing financial efficiency. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience (required) .
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
  • Hands-on experience with journal entry preparation and accrual vs. cash basis accounting.
  • Proficiency in calculating GILTI.
  • Experience preparing a wide range of tax forms, including 1040, 8858, 8865, 1120, 1065, 5471, 5472, and FBAR.
  • Familiarity with CFC and foreign partnership classifications, as well as Check-the-Box elections.
  • Software experience preferred: UltraTax or ProSystems, QuickBooks, and Practice CS.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Spanish fluency required in Aventura; preferred in Coral Gables and Boca Raton.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, including OVDP and Streamlined compliance filings.
  • Review client data, prepare journal entries, and perform reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted point of contact.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
