Your key responsibilities You’ll spend your time on a diverse array of projects, responsibilities and tasks, supporting clients by participating in day-to-day interactions with team members and providing a quality work product. Responsible for participating in and supervising compliance engagements as the fieldwork leader of an engagement team. Research complex tax theory and positions; Analyse information, prepare practical and creative solutions to the client's tax situation, and arrive at appropriate conclusions. Share tax planning ideas with others. Assist in the development of recommendations and implementation plans and assists in making quality decisions in complex and judgmental areas. You’ll be working in a highly collaborative culture, where listening to and sharing information with colleagues is an essential part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline
  • Three or more years of Sales & Use Tax Compliance experience
  • Capacity to work independently and effectively on a variety of tasks at the same time
  • Commitment to following through effectively on all requests
  • Strong analytical skills as well as excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Able to identify engagement and client service issues. Research and benchmark client data to industry data and explain client’s critical success factors to the engagement team.
  • Experience leading new client transitions, organizing transition requests to clients, working with experienced staff to integrate client requirements into software, perform testing during transition and communicate testing and other transition results to client, manager and EY team.
  • Attain competency with core software applications, effectively implement them on assigned engagements and mentor and direct staff on the use of them.

  • The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $71,000 to $117,100.
  • The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $85,100 to $133,100.
  • Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
  • In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
