About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Reviewer to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of tax returns with current tax rules, laws, and regulations. As a subject matter expert, you will manage special projects, including tax audits, tax planning strategies, and additional CFO work. This role involves advanced tax research, resolving complex tax issues, and assessing current practices to recommend improvements.

Requirements

Accounting
Tax preparation
Tax return review
Tax planning
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Lacerte 1040 Tax Analyzer
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
5+ years of progressive tax experience with some experience in reviewing tax returns
Efficient, accurate, and deadline-driven

Nice To Haves

CPA or MBA preferred
Experience with other financial systems
Familiarity with Lacerte and QuickBooks preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Review tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals for accuracy and completeness.
Act as a subject matter expert for all tax-related items.
Handle special projects such as tax audits and tax planning strategies.
Facilitate advanced tax research and resolve complex tax issues.
Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Communicate with clients to gather information about project scope, budgets, and timelines.
Collaborate with outside departments to gather information and improve processes.
Meet with other executives to discuss client project goals, progress, and outcomes.
