About The Position

The Tax Analyst Internship at Pink Harbor, CPA is a seasonal position designed for Junior or Senior-level students or individuals with prior experience in a tax office. The intern will assist in preparing tax returns during the busy tax season, gaining practical experience in tax preparation and exposure to various accounting technologies. This role emphasizes initiative, organization, and effective communication with clients to ensure accurate tax return processing.

Requirements

• Must be a Junior or Senior-level student or have 1+ year experience in a tax office (references required).
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize necessary data to prepare tax returns.
• Input tax return data into Drake Tax Software.
• Communicate with clients to obtain missing information.
• Move tax returns to the 'ready for review' status once all necessary information is entered.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed, including organizing the office, marketing, and assisting with office functions.
• Compile all tax return information into organized PDFs with proper bookmarks.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $17/hour, plus bonuses.
• PTO: 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (as per NJ State requirements).
