About The Position

Wender and McLaine Certified Public Accountants is seeking an experienced Tax Preparer/Accountant to join their full-service tax and accounting firm located in Ventura County. The role involves providing high-quality, professional tax services with a personal touch to a diverse clientele, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and non-profits.

Requirements

• CPA, EA or CRTP certification
• 5 years working in an accounting office
• Experience with Lacerte is a plus
• Knowledge of Thompson Reuters programs helpful
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage and prioritize time to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and non-profits
• Review tax returns prepared by staff
• Assist in tax planning and projections
• Engage tax authorities on behalf of clients
• Perform tax research as needed
• Interact with clients in person or on the phone
