About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Manager to oversee Argano’s global tax compliance across U.S. federal and state, sales/use tax, and international jurisdictions including Canada, Mexico, India, and the EU. This role ensures timely, accurate filings and supports internal controls, automation, and audit response. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Tax (CPA preferred).
• 6+ years of progressive tax experience in corporate or public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws; exposure to international jurisdictions.
• Proficiency with tax platforms (Vertex, Avalara) and ERP systems (Oracle/SAP).
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review federal and state tax returns, extensions, and estimated payments.
• Lead quarterly and annual tax provision processes under ASC 740.
• Monitor tax law changes and assess implications for the business.
• Oversee sales/use tax registration, filing, documentation, and audits across states.
• Ensure accurate application of tax rules and maintenance of exemption certificates.
• Partner with IT to automate tax calculation and reporting processes.
• Coordinate with local advisors to ensure filings in Canada (GST/HST, corporate income), Mexico (ISR, VAT), India (GST, corporate tax), and EU countries (VAT, local taxes).
• Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany review.
• Track developments in BEPS/Pillar Two and help prepare internal readiness.
• Respond to IRS and foreign tax authority audits.
• Maintain organized documentation to support compliance and defend positions.
