As a Tax Manager, you will be a key leader in our firm, responsible for delivering exceptional tax and accounting services while mentoring a talented team.

Requirements

  • CPA License
  • 5+ years of recent public accounting experience with a strong focus on tax and small business accounting.
  • Ability to prepare complete financial statements from start to finish.
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-first mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with tax accounting, general ledger, income tax, and various tax filings.
  • Proficiency in financial statement preparation and review.
  • Knowledge of sales and use tax, payroll tax, state tax, and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and UltraTax software.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex individual (1040), business (1065, 1120S, 1120), and trust (1041) tax returns.
  • Conduct proactive tax planning and research to optimize client outcomes year-round.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, explaining findings and strategies in clear, client-friendly language.
  • Build strong relationships with small business owners and individuals, ensuring they feel informed and confident.
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly accounting for small business clients, including reconciliations, adjusting entries, and full financial statements.
  • Review and approve sales tax filings and compliance reports.
  • Supervise and mentor staff accountants, providing guidance and quality review.
  • Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
  • Utilize modern accounting software and cloud-based tools to streamline processes and enhance accuracy.
