About The Position

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Tax Manager to oversee all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, planning, and strategy. This role is critical for ensuring the organization or its clients meet regulatory requirements while optimizing tax positions. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong focus on process improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
CPA certification (required)
5–7 years of progressive tax accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
Deep knowledge of tax law, compliance requirements, and accounting for income taxes.
Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH, Thomson Reuters, GoSystem) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong leadership, team management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication for presenting findings and managing interactions with clients and tax authorities.

Nice To Haves

Master’s in Taxation (Mtax) preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise, mentor, and manage the tax team, including senior and staff accountants.
Oversee accurate and timely preparation and review of federal, state, local, and international tax returns (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual).
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize tax positions.
Serve as the subject matter expert on complex tax issues and conduct technical tax research.
Manage federal and state tax audits, acting as primary liaison with tax authorities.
Oversee quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and ensure accurate financial reporting under ASC 740.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement tax technology solutions.
