Yext is seeking a motivated, detailed-oriented and dynamic Tax Manager to be part of the growing global tax function. The candidate will have a broad range of hands-on responsibilities working on different types of taxation including US & foreign direct and indirect taxes and will need to interact directly with the senior tax analyst located offshore, finance members across the organization as well as with external tax advisors. The ideal candidate is someone who’s self-motivated, a quick learner with excellent organizational and communication skills, and demonstrates strong initiative, ownership, and passion.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience with a mixture of in house and public accounting tax background
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of US and international tax concepts (both direct and indirect tax), knowledge of ASC740 & ASC718
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong research and analytical skills
• System savvy and possess advanced Excel skills (Pivots, SUMIFS, INDEXMATCH, etc.)
• Self-starter who is able to be self-reliant and motivated to take on tasks and demonstrate the ability to work with service providers to drive tasks and projects to completion
• Sense of responsibility, initiative and high-quality work standards
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask, work efficiently under tight deadlines and proactively track and report progress
• Self-motivated to apply learned experiences and leverage best practices
• Willingness to work flexible hours with global business from time to time

Nice To Haves

• Relevant experience in SaaS / Cloud tech industry a plus
• Experience with Netsuite ERP system/Zuora billing system/Avalara sales tax software a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination and review of direct and indirect tax compliance for US and foreign justirictions
• Review transfer pricing calculations and related documentation
• Assist in preparation and review of Company’s worldwide quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations
• Maintain and reconcile tax-related accounts as part of the accounting close process
• Assist in tax audits including gathering information and assembling responses to auditor inquiries, and assist the management with tax reserve analysis and quantifications
• Develop in-depth knowledge of tools and applications supporting Sales/Use Tax processes
• Proactively identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to automate existing workpapers and streamline processes
• Assist in advising cross functional stakeholders (deal desk, billing ops, legal etc.) with various tax inquiries on sales tax, withholding tax and VAT as it relates to customer contracts
• Maintain SOX compliance and key controls
• Assist in other ad hoc projects including but not limited to: tax planning, analysis of non-standard transactions, and cross-functional business initiatives
