The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the Company’s tax function, including compliance, reporting, and planning. This role partners closely with the Company’s external CPA firm to ensure timely and accurate filing of federal, state, and local tax returns including income, franchise, commercial, business, and property taxes (direct taxes) as well as compliance on sales & use taxes and Canadian consumption taxes (indirect taxes). Tax Manager will support the external CPA firm on the preparation and review of the Company’s tax provision in accordance with ASC 740. The Tax Manager serves as a primary liaison with external auditors and tax authorities, monitors changes in tax legislation, and evaluates the impact on the business. This position also supports tax-efficient structuring of operations and transactions to minimize risk and optimize the Company’s overall tax position. In addition to compliance, the Tax Manager acts as a strategic partner to finance and executive leadership by providing insights that inform business decisions. Responsibilities include identifying tax savings opportunities, enhancing processes through automation and controls, and supporting initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and entity restructuring. This role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and translate complex tax concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-tax stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership, project management, and communication skills to drive value across the organization.
