Velocity Vehicle Group is currently looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join their growing, high per forming and collaborative financial reporting team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Investor Relations, this role will be responsible for overseeing the company’s tax compliance, reporting, and accounting functions. The role will ensure accurate tax reporting supports strategic tax planning initiatives and maintain adherence to all applicable federal state and local tax regulations. The ideal candidate is detail oriented highly organized and capable of managing complex tax data and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Must be CPA certified with an active CPA license
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 1 year of managerial experience
  • General understanding of partnership taxation, particularly with respect to partnership equity investments
  • Tax Provision/ASC 740 experience
  • Must be able to pass post offer drug test, physical and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Sales tax experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and submitted on time
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to maintain ongoing compliance
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities as needed
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions
  • Support financial statement preparation and audits by providing tax schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
  • Oversee fixed asset management by ensuring accurate book and tax depreciation and related adjustments
  • Manage, review, and file the company’s personal and real property tax returns across all relevant jurisdictions
  • Collaborate with the accounting and operations teams to validate capital expenditures and asset classifications
  • Assist with tax strategy initiatives and process automation
